Seven recipients will receive $50,000 Marten Bequest travelling scholarships to support interstate and international development opportunities in acting, instrumental music, painting and poetry.
A further two scholarships, worth $30,000 each over two years, have been awarded through the Lady Mollie Isabelle Askin Ballet Scholarship and the Sir Robert William Askin Operatic Scholarship, helping recipients build international experience, training and professional networks.
Creative Australia CEO Adrian Collette AM said: “It’s a joy to recognise this extraordinary group of emerging artists, whose talent, dedication and imagination speak so strongly to the future of Australian arts and culture. Across acting, music, painting, poetry, ballet and opera, these recipients are already making a powerful contribution to their fields, and these scholarships will help them take the next step in their creative journeys. We’re proud to support their development as they build new skills, deepen their practice and connect with opportunities here and around the world.”
